The Prop 209 Project:
In the Spring 2006 semester, Professor David Montejano, Chair of the Center for Latino Policy Research and Taeku Lee, Associate Professor, Political Science, co-taught a seminar titled “The Proposition 209 Project.” In the seminar twelve UC Berkeley students examined the 1996 vote on proposition 209. Throughout the class students analyzed the different factors that affect the support for proposition 209 and other anti-diversity initiatives.

This short film produced by two members of the class, Jennifer Chacon Maloney and Oscar Medina, consist of interviews and guest lectures discussing affirmative action, the passage of proposition 209 and the impact it on higher education.
