Public Policy Internship Program

In partnership with selected community and government agencies, CLPR sponsors a summer Public Policy Internship Program (PPIP) for UC Berkeley undergraduate students.  The PPIP provides stipends of up to $2,000 for approximately 8 weeks of work.

The PPIP provides an opportunity for students to obtain professional training with public policy research organizations, leaders, and advocates.  As an intern, students have an opportunity to work with people who are knowledgeable and immersed in a particular policy area, and to gain exposure to research agendas, workplace issues, and mentoring.  Students apply knowledge gained in courses, enhance work skills, and increase the opportunities and contacts for future job placement and professional/graduate school.

CLPR continues to increase the number of internship opportunities, and will work with students who have an intern sponsorship in hand, or who need help in locating an internship sponsor.

The PPIP is selective.  Students must submit an application and supplemental information.  The summer interns for 2008 have already been selected. Next year's application will be available in early spring of 2008.

Feel welcome to contact us for more information.
