Roberto Lovato
Roberto Lovato is a prominent immigrant rights advocate who is spearheading the www.bastadobbs.org campaign. He is also a founding member of Presente.org that seeks to strengthen the political voice of Latinos through online and offline tools and methods. He writes for national and international media outlets, such as New America Media, The Nation Magazine, Los Angeles Times, Der Spiegel, Salon, Utne Magazine and La Opinion. He is a commentator on English and Spanish language network news programs such as Univision, CNN, PBS and Bill Moyers Journal. Mr. Lovato has produced programming for NPR, Pacifica and the Univision Television Network, where he helped produce Hora Cero, a documentary series examining immigration in the United States. Lovato is the former Executive Director of CARECEN, one of the largest immigrant rights organizations in the country. ___________________________
